V.F. Della Trincee
|
This challenging Via Ferrata (grade 4B) is set amongst the peaks of Porto Vescovo which tower over Arabba. Metal cables run through large bolts driven into the bare rock face. Climbers attach themselves to the cable via metal karabiners which, in turn, are attached to their body harness. If a climber loses his footing, the karabiners will slide down to the next bolt, but cannot travel further, thus preventing a serious fall.
